2024 CPSG Annual Meeting

The CPSG Annual Meeting is a working meeting with an informal and interactive atmosphere. Participation in the CPSG Annual Meeting is open to anyone interested in species conservation, the work of CPSG, and the topics being discussed. The CPSG Annual Meeting is comprised of plenary and working group sessions. Through these sessions, participants will learn about, discuss, and find ways forward on issues of great importance to the conservation community. The tentative list of 2024 CPSG Annual Meeting working groups currently includes:
 
  • CPSG Australasia 2.0 
  • CPSG training and mentoring for AZA SAFE program leaders: A model for building capacity in other regions 
  • Continued development of a CPSG training course and training video on managing conflict within species conservation planning workshops
  • Designing a PVA training course 
  • Fostering inclusivity in conservation planning 
  • Integrating population, health, and environment into species conservation planning 
  • Single-species conservation planning and genetic health 
  • Regional biobanking initiatives
